Re: MGB 606 and MTB 684

My uncle John Allan Bradley served on MGB/MTB 606 until it was lost off the Dutch coast. The below photo I believe shows the crew of mainly 606 (perhaps even those from sister boats) celebrating a recent victory..sailor on left appears to be holding a cake. Do you recognise any of the men & can you ...

Hi- thought you may be interested in film footage showing officers & crew of HMMGB 503 (Lt Cmdr RM Marshall) at following link- relating to HMMTB 718 & 318 (some of 318 crew lost on 503 12/5/1945). Some good footage of Lt. Cmdr Marshall & 503

Hope this helps

Re: Mystery Captured Flags Picture

Following extensive research into the above captured flags photo I now strongly believe that it may be linked with MTB 617 of 31st Flotilla and MGBs 606 - 607 of the 17th Flotilla. Under command of Lt Commander Don Bradford (possibly sailor at very back peering over) together with TLt Donald George ...

Re: ML 220 1st ML Flotilla

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the information about ML220 and the photo.

It sounds as though it was a very happy boat and fitted out better than most.

Being new to the site- can I just add how impressed I am with the site and moreover with it's members!

Best wishes

Andy

Re: R M Marshall RNVR (Mike)

Dear Charles, I'm researching my Uncles service in Coastal Forces 1942-1945 as an Able Seaman and I believe he served on MTB-607 and your great uncle was his Skipper. The skipper gave him an order just before a devastating E-boat attack and by doing so, it saved his life. Have you seen the copy of t...

ML 220 1st ML Flotilla

Hi, I'm seeking information about HM ML220 which I believe was part of the 1st ML Flotilla It seems that ML220 first skipper from August 1941 to 1942 was a Lieutenant Ray Worledge (Australian volunteer- died 2009) & sub lieutenant Ted Burnham and it was the first ML fitted out to lay mines. The tele...
