I really appreciate any help on where I should go to find more about his service before and after coastal forces? I believe he was a signalman on convoys not sure of the ship(s) - he signed up in '39 and I believe he commanded a minesweeper for some years after the war..

My father George Alexander Baptie served as Sub Lieutenant om MGB 81 converted to MTB 416 he then (I think) commanded MTB 499. MTB416/MGB81 has been purchased by Portsmouth Royal Naval Dockyard and I'm trying to find out more about his service carreer I would also appreciate understanding more about...
