You may well be right. I'm afraid I have no other context at the moment, but delighted to at least be able to put this photo here.

Looking through my father's photographs I came across this beauty of ML 349, which I can only assume was taken from ML 253 (see my recent post).

Please can anyone help me with ML 253? My late father served on her towards the end of WWII, which included an operation 'the night before' D-Day, and I have a picture of the crew being inspected by Monty, in Hamburg I think, but that is about the sum of my knowledge of her wartime exploits.
