The Imperial War Museum has a copy of a Norwegian propaganda film which uses MTB 723. You can clearly see its number towards the end.

My father, Kenneth Edward Le Voi is sitting on the left of the captain (his left, to the right of the photo). He was second Lieutenant, mostly responsible for navigation.
