Re: Coastal Forces Bases

Coastal Forces Bases

There is a new page on this site giving the position of known CF bases in the UK. There are plans to extend this feature to encompass the Mediterranean War Theatre. Do you know any of the 'not so well known', especially any details of the several Base Ships so employed?

Re: Last Action of the War

Hello Donald Had this interesting reply from my query to Christian Shepherd-Cappuro he states - HDMLs were known by their pennant numbers, these were always ML... and not HDML..., so it seems probable that the vessel being referred to was the HDML "ML 1479". She did serve in the far east, ...

Veterans' models

Personally, I can't wait for this series to begin. There are some lovely models - by veterans- that need to be seen by a wider audience - hope we do not have to wait too long.

The Bari Raid

The web site has had a request from one of our American cousins who is attempting to help a veteran suffering from the after effects of the disasterous Bari raid In her own words: I am seeking information about the raid on Bari, Italy that occurred 2 December 1943. I am particularly interested in th...
