been away for a little while, very impressed with the new layout of the site, congrats to all concerned! the revamped introduction page is a history lesson on its own,super.

The Japenese boat was in yokohama in 1957 Scout was accepted into the RN in 1958 would'nt that make Scout as the last to be built??

I think that you will find that the Elco 77's and 80's were powered by American Packard engines (not Allison)

D Day Landings

Have just read the latest Newsletter - very interesting but were the Dog boats ever classed as MASB's - I thought that it refered to an early type of smaller craft.
Looking forward to seeing the new web site - hurry up :bounce:

just found the map pages :roll: , very well done to all involved , the middle east will take some time to finish i guess - there must have been many of those travelling bases yet there is only 2 shown? - anyway, a very good addition to the site i believe :tu:

yes, iv'e read about 'Bill' Savage's VC. did'nt he keep at his post as a gunner on his boat even though mortally wounded?The german's even respected his bravery i think.

Have just read the article on the war's last naval action - War Stories - close encounters. Very interesting - but are you sure that it was the very last naval action - April 1945???
