I am secretary of the Totton and Eling Branch of the Royal British Legion.
A member has asked if I could find some information about a relative who served with Coastal Forces from 1941 to 1943. He enlisted allegedly underage as an HO seaman and they think he was based in the Plymouth area. Any information about him, boats he was on or even boats based in that area would be somewhere to start. I believe he survived two sinkings during his time. I believe he also served at Yeovilton but assume that would have been after 1943 and perhaps involving a transfer to RNAS.
