I know he was on ML 296 in west africa. he talked about the trip out there.
back in the UK he was on "I think RML 523. he told about a rescue of downed US aircrew and being under fire, I think this is when the MID was awarded. that's all. any more info will be most welcome.

I dont have a lot here but the MID was awarded for service in ML 523.

Wind up of the war in Europe was a round up for actions in the later part of the war and covered lots of different actions.
