Dear sir/ madam My father was a member of C.F.V.A. National branch he sadly died on the 4th June 2006.age 79. I found his navy service record whilst he served from December 43 to May 53. I am interested in the period he served with Coastal Forces during the war. I am wondering if his bases and boats whether anybody could help me with the actions that my father may have taken part in. The list as has follows and any help you can give me will really be appreciated.

Yours Sincerely,
Donald Fraser

Hello John

Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting details of your website which are very interesting. My father served aboard ML296 in Freetown, where they also experienced boat explosions. Are the two photos at the bottom of the Photo Page 1 on the Mosquito page, the engine room and radio room of an ML?

Regards

Admin,

The photos on my site were left to me by my father. I never got the chance to sit down with him and go through them. From my understanding the photos you refer to are both the engine room of a Fairmile B motor launch, one with one without either crew or dockyard personnel. :?

Thanks for the link to your web site, some very good photos there.

Best Regards JB
