John Bevis Brealey TJX 192316

Postby knocker1948 » Wed Nov 11, 2015 6:50 pm

Hi All
Hope someone can help with regards to the Naval service of John Bevis Brealey (TJX 192316)b. 1905 in Nottinghamshire but from Mablethorpe Lincolnshire. We know he served with HMS Beehive, then Afridi & then Victory. That is all that we know! Can anyone cast any more light on this please. John died in 1951 and did not talk to his family about his war record.
Thank you
John

Somebody more experienced in these matters will no doubt comment shortly but Beehive and Victory were shore bases. You really need to get hold of service record - this link may be of interest. http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov. ... _navy.html

Thank you Jonco

I need to get his son to complete the form as his next of kin. I realise Beehive and Victory were shore bases but it would be good to see if anyone recognises the name and can tell us what or which MTB craft he served on.
Thanks for the link.

John
