British Veterans of Vis
Our departure from Vis on this our final visit at 05-00 hs on Saturday 21st May was with a heavy heart and tear drop eyes as the ferry left the shore line further astern we were left with the memories of a people and a place that has been part of our lives over some 21 visits in the past 28 years.

Thanks to our Embassy and our Ambassador to Croatia H.E. David Blunt our visit was supported by Croatian Government Minister and representatives of the Croatia Armed Forces in paying tribute to the British Forces and Partisan Freedom Fighters of the 1943/45 conflict . Our final act of commemoration was to dedicate a plaque on the jetty at Komiza honouring the bond of friendship that has been strengthened over these many years .
