Coastal Forces Centenary

Postby Stephen » Fri Aug 19, 2016 6:47 pm

I thought this event in Portsmouth next week might be of interest to members of the forum. In summary, five different fast boats (HDML 1387, MTB 102, HSL 102, MGB 81 and HMS Smiter) will sail past the dockyard and finish up on the pontoon behind Boathouse 4 for the day. I'll be going along.

In case anyone was going especially, I've heard that MTB 102 won't be attending.

Hello there,

Yes, some footage on the www.bbc.co.uk Hampshire and IOW tab, and on Facebook, ah I did plan to go but working on things for Paddle Steamer Medway Queen...pity MTB 102 could not make it then....but running these old craft is not guaranteed of course, and by volunteers...long trip! but great that others could, sorry to have missed but there it is, all the best.
