MTB 488

Postby Gatesidefs » Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:13 am

I'm looking into my father's role in WW11. He served on MTB 488 between 01.Sep 1944 and 24 May 1945. I think he was based at HMS Hornet at Gosport. I think this might have been the 1st MTB Flotilla but some records are sparse. Can anyone confirm and give me any information please.
Basically he told me very little about his war service. I can't find much on MTB 488. If anyone could give me some pointers on where to look I'd be grateful. Stuart Anderson.
