Hi, I've recently found this site and learned that my grandfather (Thomas Vass Hughes) was one of the crew of MTB 732, which was accidentally sunk by the Combattante French destroyer on May 28th 1944 in the English Channel. My grandfather (or one of his shipmates) carried a camera and I have a number of photographs of the crew and various events they encountered. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing these?

Hello jaime6575

Welcome to the forum, and yes we'd love to have copies of anything you have in your possession to add to our archives, as we don't currently have any photos of the boat or her crew. As you may be aware, La Combattante was later sunk herself in February 1945 with considerable loss of life when she either struck a mine or was torpedoed.

I've sent you a pm on the subject of the photos.

Regards

Thanks for the swift reply! It may take a while to get all the photos together as they are scattered among family members. I will email them to you as I receive them.
Many thanks!

Jaime
