MTB Torpedo Tube question

'Afternoon All,

Would anyone on this board know the wall thickness of a standard RN 18" torpedo tube, as fitted to MTB's? I have a source for 3/4" aluminum tubing that's the correct OD for an 18" tube in 1/24th scale, but am concerned about the wall-thickness.

Many Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Chris Preston,

Thanks for posting these really interesting pics ! They show a lend lease Vosper (probably built by Jacob's). Any idea where these photos were taken ?

Regards,

Arjan

Hi Peter,

I don't know where these particular Jacob's Vospers were commissioned. The torp loading pics were I think taken at Valletta or Ancona. All I know is that these Vospers were at HMS Gregale on VE day. This photo shows the Vospers decked out in bunting :

Some more pics, also Malta :

Hi Arjan,

There is no specific location in my grandfathers book, "The short history of the 28th Flotilla", although i suspect it is Valletta.
