Hi everyone
I am currently attempting to find out a bit more about my grandfathers service in WW2 and have been wondering whether you can shed some light on the MTB that he was attached to ?
This is his casualty listing which confirms the date that he died when he fell overboard during a storm, whilst taking another MTB from one unknown port to Portsmouth , COOKE, George D, Chief Motor Mechanic, P/MX 98372, MTB.754, 19 December 1944, DOWS
All i know so far is that the MTB was 754 and my father has been informed that it was within the 68th Flotilla this is unconfirmed and i can find no refernce to the 68th flotilla as yet ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Simon
