Info on my father Fred Holmes

My father Fred holmes was on mtb's 630 and 741, the forum has given me a lot of information. Has anyone any pictures of the crews and boats. Also was the 55th with 630 involved in any way with d day Thank you

Peter, there is a picture of three of the 55th with teeth and Ken Forrester identifies the middle boat as MTB 630.

Thank you for the info Roger. I'm gradually putting together some good information thanks to the Forum. Have you any info on HMS Mentor 11, my father was stationed there from the 29th May 42 - 28th July 42. Regards. Peter

The photograph Roger mentions can be seen in the memoir written by Ken Forrester entitled If I only had known which details his time with the 55th MTB Flotilla.

Mentor II was the Coastal Forces base at Stornoway in the Hebrides.
