Anniversary of Ml 916 sinking

Postby Stuart » Thu Nov 08, 2018 4:52 pm

Thanks to CFV more families of the crew of ML 916 who were lost this November day in 1944 - have learned the story of her sinking, her role in the opening of the port of Antwerp and how this helped the Allies advance into Germany and end WW2.
The MacPherson family thank all at CFV for revealing this story to us and look forward to finding more of the 916 families and even discover the missing survivor.

We think of those nineteen poor young men and the grief of their families.

Stuart MacPherson.

The Coastal Forces Veterans web site is grateful for the assistance of the many veterans, and relatives of those who served, who have contacted the site over the years and provided photographs, documents and information to share with others, and without whom this site would not be the success it is.
