Commissioning of HMS Dark Aggressor

This very rare silent footage of the commissioning of HMS Dark Aggressor has kindly been made available to our Forum by our regular contributor David Mills.
David’s own web site illustrates a very wide range of subjects but in particular is a mine of information on the products and workings of Messrs Saunders Roe. This once famous company was responsible for the main detail design and the construction of the prototype - P1101 Dark Adventurer - plus several others of the class.
The ceremony, on the 3rd June 1955, was captured on film by the official ‘Saro Film Unit’
