MGB 45 S3

Postby Jerry » Sat Nov 01, 2014 11:00 pm

Hello all,

I am pondering the purchase of the above boat. I would like to conserve it and eventually return it to wartime condition. Although I can afford the initial cost I feel that storage and then further funds would be too much for my modest means. Does anyone have any experience of setting up a charitable trust for such things.

The boat in question is still potentially seaworthy but not for long as she is progressing more and more into a houseboat. History or some is known and she was reputedly one of the MGB's supporting the MTB's during the 'Channel Dash' . Help is needed......

With fingers crossed!

Hello 'Jerry' Welcome aboard.
I would suggest that you make contact with Paul Childs, or his son Owen, owners of several CF craft now based in Torquay.
You can send Owen a Private message from this site or make contact through their website http://www.militaryboats.org/
A very approachable team who I'm sure will be able to give some positive information.
Best of Luck 'Jerry' Please keep us informed of your progress.
Regards
