ML 351 and 357

Postby MJAHobbs » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:55 am

Hi all,

My grandad Edward Tassie was a motor mechanic on board ML 357 (Aug-Nov 1942) and ML 351 (Jan 1943 - June 44) in the East Med.

Sadly, he passed away last year, but he gave me his photos from 1942-44 which I have posted on Pinterest here:

There are images of ML 357 and 351 and their crews on this board:

Hope this is of interest.

Regards,

Michael.

Hi Michael,

Have sent you a 'pm' as I have a friend here in Oz who's late father was on 357 from Nov 43 to Oct 45, plus I know of a chap in Sydney who also served on her for a time.

You might also like to know that '357' is still afloat in the UK.

Cheers,
Roger.

Thanks for the 'pm' and further info, Roger.

I saw a few posts about the 357 being restored - would like to take a trip to see it some time.

Regards,

Michael.
