I have now received the naval records and his postings were as follows. I have a few questions:
1. Any further information on places like Shrapnel (Fulham GTC) and the Freetown postings would be appreciated.
2. Any info on ML277
3. What does "Lent to Stamshaw" mean?
4. HMS Belmont appeared to have been sunk before the posting to it. Is this a mistake?
5. "Passage" - is this travel to Africa?
6. I am pulling together the information with great interest from my Grandmother and so any photos of relevant places / boats would also be of great interest
