These photos from ADM 199/2445 — Notes on Coastal Forces HMS Excellent — held at the National Archives show MTB 5014 in the process of being converted to a RAF Long-Range Rescue Craft (LRRC) 007.

Notes: MTB 5014 survived the war and was transferred to the RAF as Long Range Rescue Craft (LRRC 007) in March 1945.

In the following photos one can see the transformation from a standard D-Class MTB of the period, with the removal of the forward 6-pdr gun, torpedo tubes, gun bins at the side of the bridge, midships Oerlikon, and rear 6-pdr gun, to make for a lighter, faster craft with anti-aircraft protection only.
