My Grandad (Thomas Glover) served in the coastal forces in WW2 on the following boats, MTB261 (1 Oct 42 -18 Oct 42), MTB60 (19 Oct 42 - 31 Dec 42), MTB57 (1 Jan 43 - 30 June 43), ML361 (1 July 43 - 6 Feb 44), ML911 (7 Feb- 31 July). He tells me it was 1942, 1943, but I know he was involved with picking up the nurses which I believe was 1944.
Hi, not sure if this thread is still live. My grandad was also involved in the rescue of the American nurses. His name was Tom Glover.
