There was some discussion on these points back in 2012 and whether the photo actually was MTB 670, which was lost in 1946. @davidddnfp was the poster of the photo and was trying to confirm but we never heard anything definite.
Hi all...this all makes for fascinating reading. My grandad was James McEntee..."jimmy" or "Mac" he served on MTB 651 I believe from Jan 43 - aug 45. HMS Colombo was the Cruiser that was present (November 1944) to receive the surrender of the occupying German forces. She placed an NP (Naval Party) ashore which then organised the port into a forward CF base for the remainder of the war.
