It is with great regret that we have learned of the passing on 11 January of another of London Branch’s stalwarts. John Lambert ‘crossed the bar’ on 11 January 2016, aged 78 after a long illness. He was in the Royal Navy for seven years, followed by a further 24 years in the Metropolitan Police, where he received a long service award and was known for his advanced driving skills. As well as being a crew member of ML 1387 Medusa, he was highly regarded for his marine modelling and for the excellence of the scale plans for boats he produced for other modellers. Our condolences go to his family, son Paul and twin daughters Michelle and Julia who have lost “a wonderful, loving Dad”.
